SATA Product ListNotes:Native SATA is not yet fully supported. There is no current support on SPARC-based systems. For SATA controllers on x64/x86-based platforms one should set the BIOS for the SATA controller to legacy mode, sometimes referred to IDE or ATA mode. Generally cards/systems based on the Silicom Image 3132 and 3134 chipsets should function correctly on Solaris 10 and forward. Additionally support for cards/systems based on some Marvell chipsets is in the Solaris Express distribution (88SX5040, 88SX5041, 88SX5041, 88SX5080, 88SX5081, 88SX6040, 88SX6041, 88SX6080 , 88SX6081). Storage targets > 2TB are known not to work at this time and there is an open bug.
