3) Solaris 10 X86 - full install plus OEM support. Install the following patch 119131-14

INSTALLATION

  • Solaris 10 on sparc using Sun HBA card

    • Install OS – Test environment used Full install plus OEM support

    • Install Sun HBA card

    • Install the following patches

      • 119130-14

    • Set the “mpxio-disable” variable as appropriate in the /kernel/drv/*conf files for your implementation


  • Solaris 10 on x86 using Sun HBA card

    • Install OS – Test environment used Full install plus OEM support

    • Install Sun HBA card

    • Install the following patches

      • 119131-14

    • Set the “mpxio-disable” variable as appropriate in the /kernel/drv/*conf files for your implementation


  • Solaris 10 on sparc using QLogic HBA card

    • Install OS – Test environment used Full install plus OEM support

    • Install Sun HBA card

    • Install the following required packages

      • Qlogic driver from the Qlogic website – package QLA2300

    • Install the following optional software if desired

      • SANsurfer software from Qlogic

USAGE:

1) Not required, but recommend letting all volumes build before using.

2) Controllers are not redundant. Each side of the array requires its own hot spare.
