Don't Miss the Free LifeSciences Webinar "BioTeam: Building and Managing Production BioClusters" this Friday, 19 Nov!

http://events-at-sun.com/webinars/

This seminar is part of The "Say Hello" Webinar Series which will run November 19, 2004 to May 27, 2005 and will introduce computational and research scientists as well as IT professionals to a number of Sun partners who have designed technologies that address key problems in life science research and development today. At the core of this series are the Sun-AMD Opteron solutions offered by Sun and its life science software (ISV) partners. Please join us every other Friday at 9am Pacific Time. Call-in and WebEx details will be sent to all registrants. A sweepstakes is also being offered for your chance to win Finch (by Geospiza) or VIBE (by INCOGEN) pre-loaded on Sun systems. Sun Studio 10 Early Access Program focuses on supporting AMD 64-bit computing and is being run in conjunction with the Solaris 10 AMD64 Early Access program

NOTE: be sure to copy & paste the ENTIRE URL above into your browser, simply clicking on the link doesn't seem to work properly)

This site will prompt you with a series of questions to set up a personal account and register for providing EA experience feedback. We will be updating the public site approx every two weeks with the latest tested build.

"Apps built with Sun Studio 9 show significant performance improvements for both SPARC and x86 32 bit binaries. Sun Studio 10 improves x86 32 bit app performance even more (up to 35% better than Studio 9!) and now supports the generation of 64-bit AMD apps as well as introducing support for features that were previously only on our SPARC offering. We encourage you to give this a try and report any bugs (via bug-track) or any successes."
