Technology Solutions for Infrastructure
People clearly understand the value of the traditional infrastructure because they would not dream of constructing a dwelling on a new home site without installing power, water, sewer, cable, telephone, and streets. They also understand the importance of setting money aside to pay for replacement of these things over time. Yet, they fail to realize that the network and services infrastructure should be viewed the same way. Whether building new services, or upgrading existing ones, it is important to verify that the resources are available. The services need to be available around the clock which is possible. How? It requires a focus on the platform and protocols. It means installing clusters where needed, and building redundancy into the service components. After the campus becomes available online it then becomes possible to deliver the functionality and services wherever the customer may be.

Sun offers a full range of products and partner solutions to help CIOs address the emerging technology trends and standards affecting the 21st Century virtual campus.

Issues Surrounding Digital Content:
This paper identifies potential solutions for extending SCORM to better support building learning experiences by aggregating learning content from different sources and reusing that content in different learning environments. This paper builds on the work done in a previous whitepaper by the team of Lieutenant Commander Roger St-Pierre, Captain Peter Hope and Ms. Suzanne Skublics [DAM]. The effects that the new Simple Sequencing Specification from IMS has in this area are also discussed.

Practical Modeling Of Internet and Enterprise Architectures Evaluation of large-scale application architectures and networks for Intranet and Internet applications and portals requires careful modeling of interactions and relationships in order to ensure success of these systems. This paper describes some of the key elements and rules of thumb that can be used for initial sizing.
