Jacqueline Cheng is the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Education City (HKedCity). Since 2002, she has steered the once e-education start-up project to develop into a dynamic company for serving the diverse and growing learning and teaching needs of the community. Now Hong Kong's biggest and most received e-learning portal, HKedCity has seen advancement in applying information technology (IT) for quality education through its online and offline initiatives. Jacqueline has been involved in media industry for two decade. Beginning from a producer with Radio Television Hong Kong in 1982, she moved s. Her wealth of experience in public broadcasting and media management comes from from here to a series of leadership leadership positions in in radio and television productions, and in corporate developments. In 1994, Jacqueline headed for a new start in new media management. Bringing with her a wealth of public broadcasting and media experience, , and new media management. she created Hong Kong's first media website. Next year, she spearheaded the first live video broadcast on internet with video streaming technology by further leveraging internet's uniqueness and potential to web broadcasting. Prior to joining HKedCity, she devised and managed the internet and infotainment development strategy for the Hong Kong Jockey Club. She began her career of public broadcasting with Radio Television Hong Kong in 1982. Leveraging the internet's uniqueness and power to web broadcasting, Jacqueline created Hong Kong's first media website in 1994. One year later, she spearheaded the first live video broadcast on Internet with video streaming technology. Prior to assuming her role in HKedCity, she devised and managed the internet and infotainment development strategy for the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Jacqueline is active in driving IT in education initiatives. She serves on Steering Committee on Strategic Development of IT in Education as well as , the Quality Education Fund Dissemination and Promotion Subcommittee., To contribute her media savvy for public interests, she involves in and the the Eedducation and Ppublicity taskforce forSubcommittee of the Council of Sustainable Development. With a background in media industry, JacquelineShe is also an advocator for media and art education. Jacqueline obtained an Executive MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a MFA in Film and Television Production from UCLA. She was a Bachelor of Social Sciences of the University of Hong Kong.Jacqueline graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences Degree from the University of Hong Kong. She obtained her MFA in Film and Television Production from the UCLA, and followed that with an EMBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. |
