On September 13-14, 2004 at Sun Microsystems' Executive Briefing Center, convened the first meeting of the advisory board committee of the Java(SM) Education and Learning Community (JELC). Gathering the key influencers in technology and education, the meeting is focused on developing the Java technology community's collaborative open standards-based projects and tools for teaching and learning.
