How to Purchase

1. Eligibility. To purchase software from the list below you must have a Sun Education buying contract (EdVEU). There are no additional requirements such as program participation or completion of a program agreement.
2. Software purchased from this list is can be used for any computing purpose on campus. There are no restrictions as to academic use.
3. The prices listed below are for the US only and are subject to international uplifts. Prices may change without notice.
4. Some of the products below do not include technical support. Technical support may be purchased separately through the Sun Spectrum Support Program for Education.
5. US Customers: email or contact us. Promotional pricing is also available through authorized Sun Resellers for Education.
   Outside the US: Promotional pricing is US list price. Similar discounts may be offered in your geography; customers outside of the US should contact their local Sun sales office.

Software products that are not available via this list can still be purchased by Education and Research institutions at a discount. However rather than receiving 30% to 95% discount on the software, institutions receive Sun's standard educational discount as noted in the customer buying agreement with Sun.

The Sun Academic Initiative is a program through which non profit institutions (not individuals) become authorized, enabling those institutions to deliver training on Sun technologies to their faculty, staff and students. In addition, faculty, staff and students can obtain free access to selected online courses and discounted certification through the Sun Learning Center.
