PICMG-standard, HA-level, hot-swappable slots.
Supports the highest level of hot-swap functionality of the PICMG (PCI Industrial Manufacturers Group) 2.1 Rev 2 standard--helping to enable the addition and replacement of blade servers. Hot-swapping is also supported on fans, switches, system management cards, and power supplies, without completely shutting down the system.
Increases system availability.
Individually-powered cPCI slots.
Provides the ability to shut down individual slots in the event of component failure. Also allows for the activation of specific features or functionality while deploying the entire system.
Contributes to continuous operation and manageability.
NEBS Level 3 certification.
NEBS (Network Equipment Building Standard) Level 3 certification means that the Netra CT 820 server can provide system availability even through extreme levels of temperature, humidity, air contamination, electromagnetic frequency radiation, and Zone 4 earthquakes.
Increases system availability and customer satisfaction.

Serviceability
Feature
Function
Benefit
Front-accessible FRUs (field replaceable units) as well as remote, electronic FRU identification.
Allows for remote inventory of major subsystems and active components.
Enhances serviceability and eases maintenance.
Rear cabling configuration.
Rear-accessible cabling is standard (although all active FRUs--hard drives and power supply units, for example--are front accessible).
Allows for easier system serviceability.
Remote system control and LOM (Lights Out Management).
Remote system control and LOM allow system administrators to remotely monitor and manage the Netra CT 820 server.
Increases serviceability and system availability.

Manageability
Feature
Function
Benefit
Conformance to PICMG 2.9 specifications: IPMI system management.
IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) system management provides an industry-standard interface and methodology for system management.
Provides a solid foundation for manageability and helps lower total cost of ownership
Element management using hierarchical object modeling.
Allows information from a detailed system management view to be integrated into a platform that allows mixing and matching to meet specific solutions.
Eases manageability and lowers total cost of ownership.
Processor Management Services (PMS).
Enables full management of a satellite processor's software services independent of the server.
Increases manageability.
