Ideal for petascale supercomputing fabrics, this switch delivers ultra-high density support for up to 648 4x InfiniBand ports in 11RU, or 1,944 4x ports in a single 19" rack. It consolidates three 4x connections into a single-connector 12x cable. And, it uses the adaptive routing, along with support for InfiniBand 1.2 congestion control to dynamically re-route traffic. This alleviates congested switch ports and restricts process traffic that causes congestion. Now you really can eliminate hot spots in the fabric and achieve maximum throughput at the lowest possible latencies.
