The accelerator card supports SSL implementations on the following applications:

• SunONE Web Server software, versions 4.1 SP9 and 6.0 SP1. Sun Crypto Accelerator 1000 will support future versions of the Web server software.
• Apache 1.3.12 Web server software using OpenSSL* 0.9.6b, adapted for the Sun Crypto Accelerator 1000 board. Apache Web server software is bundled with Solaris 8 Operating System, and OpenSSL is bundled with the Sun Crypto Accelerator 1000 board software CD.

* This product includes software developed by the OpenSSL project for use in the OpenSSL Toolkit. This product includes cryptographic software written by Eric Young. This product includes software developed by Ralf S. Engelschall for use in the mod_ssl project.

Symmetric:

• 3DES bulk encryption of up to 500 Mbps. This benchmark applies only to Apache installations
