Specifications

Designed to support the Sun Fire V210 and V240 platforms, the Sun Crypto Accelerator 500 daughterboard is a dedicated hardware co-processor solution that offloads the SSL functions from a server’s CPU. This frees the CPU to perform other tasks and increases processing speeds for secure transactions.

Supported Software
Supported Software The Sun Crypto Accelerator 500 daughterboard supports SSL implementations on the SunONE Web Server software, versions 4.1 SP9 and 6.0 SP1. Sun Crypto Accelerator 500 will support future versions of the Web server software. It also supports Apache 1.3.12 Web server software using OpenSSL 0.9.6b. Apache Web server software is bundled with Solaris 8 Operating System, and OpenSSL is bundled with the Sun Crypto Accelerator 500 board software CD.

The Solaris 8 HW 12/02 (or later) & Solaris 9 4/03 (or later) Operating Systems are required.
