Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Healthcare

Gain secure access to integrated information to deliver faster, better healthcare services.

At a Glance

Healthcare services involve a wide network of caregivers who need to coordinate service delivery, share patient files and procedure results, and view outcomes in similar cases. From the time a patient calls for an appointment to when the final insurance claim is paid, there can be thousands of process steps.

An SOA provides a time-saving information-delivery architecture that integrates these processes as well as addresses the critical security and privacy issues of healthcare information management.

Key Benefits

  • Securely control access and delivery of private data to users
  • Integrate patient services between providers
  • Reduce the wait for patient data, test results, and insurance processing
  • Enable providers to be more informed, timely, and efficient—all while protecting patient privacy
