OVERVIEW
The extraterritorial application of of the U.S. export controls
is very broad.
U.S. export controls can apply to:
items well after they are shipped from the United
States as they move from one country to another
items that a U.S. exporter ships from one of its
non-U.S. locations
foreign-made products derived from U.S. origin
technology or software
Local export and import regulations and requirements may also apply.
For instance, exports from Europe are subject to European Union (EU)
AND US export regulations.
