Sun Blade 6048 Chassis

Take a closer look at the industry's most scalable, powerful, and efficient blade system. It's designed to scale from a departmental cluster to PetaScale Computing, and it's packaged as an integrated product. Its radical unibody chassis/rack design saves space and weight (~500 lbs less per rack when compared to conventional chassis and rack combinations). Its Sun Blade Independent I/O provides the highest I/O throughput per chassis at 30.72Tbps and is the first blade based on an open PCI-e Industry standard I/O architecture. Support for PCIe 1.1 and 2.0 enables this chassis to support leading networking technologies such as Quad Data Rate (QDR) InfiniBand.
