Components of the Sun Customer Ready Infinite Archive System
  The Sun Customer Ready Infinite Archive System consists of building blocks configured together in a modular approach. Outline of the components follows:
Server module Sun Fire x4540 Storage Server or Sun SPARC Enterprise Servers (4 core)
Tier 1 disk cache Included with Sun Fire x4540 Storage Server or Sun StorageTek 2540 FC dual controllers, SAS 15k rpm drives with the option to add additional SAS trays
Tier 2 disk archive Included with Sun Fire x4540 Storage Server or Sun StorageTek 2540 FC dual controllers, SATA 7.2k rpm drives with the option to add additional SATA trays
Tier 3 tape archive
Note: You may also order a "tape ready" system with no tape included and use any supported tape system or one of the Sun StorageTek enterprise libraries that would be suitable for your environment.
Single Node Configuration
  The single node configuration is a complete rack system providing a cost-effective, low-power entry point for a tiered, managed storage solution, perfect for small to medium sized businesses as well as departmental level use.
