The Sun Fire B100s Blade Server is a single processor SPARC server that is hosted in the Sun Fire B1600 Blade System Chassis, a 16 slot, 3U intelligent shelf offering an integrated Gigabit Ethernet switch fabric, fully redundant components, and 5x server density over typical one processor 1U servers. The Sun Fire B1600 Blade Platform enables organizations to accommodate growth, uses computing resources more efficiently, reduces time-to-market by shortening deployment cycles, increases service availability, and lowers operational cost. Featuring integrated switching and support of up to two optionally redundant GbE Switches, up to two optionally redundant System Controllers, SPARC® and x86 Blade Servers running Solaris OS and Linux, Content Load Balancing, and SSL Proxy Blades, the Sun Fire B1600 Blade Platform provides an agile platform that can easily respond to changing business requirements.
