Growing demand for horizontally scalable and available services coupled
with modern economic realities are re-shaping the design of the
multi-tiered data center. Customers desire products and solutions that
reduce their overall cost and complexity by combining low price, better
price/performance, improved environmental requirements, system
manageability, and increased availability. This paper introduces the
technical specifications of Sun's newest UltraSPARC-based workgroup
servers—the Sun Fire V125, V215, V245 and V445 servers.
