Sun and Fujitsu have been technology partners for more than two
decades. Sun and Fujitsu's expanded relationship, announced on June 1,
2004, includes joint development and delivery of a future generation of
Solaris and SPARC-based systems. Code named Advanced Product Line
(APL), the products will succeed Sun's and Fujitsu's current product
lines, Sun Fire and PRIMEPOWER, respectively.
The new T1000 and T2000 systems, collectively called T1-based systems,
from Sun will become the low end of the APL product line. The
T1000/T2000 systems are now available from Sun and Sun's value-added
resellers, including Fujitsu.
