Sun Enterprise Server Alternate Pathing (AP) 2.0.1Sun Enterprise Server Alternate Pathing (AP) 2.0.1 enables Sun Enterprise[tm] 10000 server customers who run Solaris 2.5.1 11/97 on their domain(s) to use all of the features of the AP 2.1 release. AP 2.1 runs only on Solaris 2.6 5/98 domains and AP 2.2 runs only on Solaris 7 5/99 domains. AP 2.0.1 also includes integrated fixes for many bugs that were patched in AP 2.1. AP 2.0.1 provides the following additions to AP 2.0 functionality:
Sun Enterprise Server Alternate Pathing (AP) 2.2Sun Enterprise Server Alternate Pathing (AP) 2.2 enables Sun Enterprise[tm] 10000 server customers who run Solaris 7 on their domain(s) to use all of the features of the AP 2.1 release with the Solaris 7 64-bit OS, as well as offering Check Point Restart (CPR) enhancements to render AP CPR safe. Note that AP 2.2 provides these same Alternate Pathing features to the Sun Enterprise[tm] 3x00, 4x00, 5x00, 6x00 server product line in addition to Sun Enterprise[tm] 10000 servers. Sun Enterprise Server Alternate Pathing (AP) 2.3Sun Enterprise Server Alternate Pathing (AP) 2.3 enables Sun Enterprise[tm] 10000 server customers who run Solaris 8 on their domain(s) to use all of the features of the AP 2.2 release with the Solaris 8 64-bit OS. AP 2.3 adds a consolidated network metadriver feature that allows device types to be mixed within media classes (currently FDDI or Ethernet). This release of AP supports Solaris 2.6 and 7 as well as Solaris 8. Note that AP 2.3 provides Alternate Pathing features to the Sun Enterprise[tm] 3x00, 4x00, 5x00, 6x00 server product line in addition to Sun Enterprise[tm] 10000 servers. This release of AP supports Solaris 2.6 and 7 as well as Solaris 8 operating environments. Note that AP 2.3.1 provides all Alternate Pathing features to the Sun Enterprise[tm] 3x00, 4x00, 5x00, 6x00 and E10000 server product lines. The software is available as a ZIP file capable of being unpacked with the unzip command present in the Solaris 7 operating environment and forward. If you are running the Solaris 2.6 operating environment, you can obtain the unzip command by applying patch 106193-05. Once you have downloaded the file, perform the following UNIX command at a command prompt in the directory in which the ZIP file resides:
