    • Sun achieved a world record number of users when running Peoplesoft Financials 8.4 Online benchmark using Oracle9i and Sun Fire E2900 and E4900 servers. This result makes Sun the UNIX leader for scalability and performance on high volume, real-world online transaction processing (OLTP) workloads for Peoplesoft Financials, outperforming the nearest competitor by 15% (1). A combination of Sun Fire E2900 and E4900 servers, Sun StorEdge 6120 and the Solaris OS demonstrate that the Sun SPARC/Solaris platform is optimized for OLTP in highly secure, highly available environments, enabling organizations to meet their service-level agreements (SLAs) and maximize return on investment (ROI).
