    • The UltraSPARC IV / Solaris platform has demonstrated another World Record on two Sun Fire E6900 servers, each equipped with 24 UltraSPARC IV 1.2 GHz processors, running the Solaris 10 and 9 OS, BEA Weblogics Server 8.1, and Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition. This World Record demonstrates that the Sun Fire E6900 server delivers the best performance in the SPECjAppServer2002 DualNode benchmark, proving the UltraSPARC IV / Solaris platform is optimized for developing multi-tier enterprise applications on J2EE. The combination of the Solaris 10 and 9 OS, one running on each Sun Fire E6900 server, further demonstrates the compatibility and interoperability of the robust UltraSPARC IV / Solaris platform.
