Announcement Summary

Announcing the transition of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 product offerings from Sun including all support subscription renewal part numbers. Renewal parts for support are not version specific to 2.1 and is applicable for all versions of Red Hat that Sun offers.

RHE 3 products are currently available from Sun from your local Sun sales representative or for U.S. customers from the Sun Store at http://store.sun.com.

  • Compatible Third-Party Applications:

  • Support:
    Sun will continue to honor support contracts sold to customers through the last ship date and until the support contract is up for renewal. Customers who wish to continue with support from Sun, must upgrade to next available software release sold by Sun. (currently RHEL 3 and purchase the appropriate subscription based offering they choose.

Sun will no longer offer support renewals for Red Hat products sold by Sun. Customers are now required to repurchase the subscription-based offering at time of renewal.
