This is to officially announce the End of Life for StarOffice 6.0 and StarSuite 6.0 OEM version. This announcment removes 12 languages - English, German, Swedish, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, and Turkish for StarOffice 6.0 and Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese for StarSuite 6.0. The platforms supported were Solaris 7 OS and higher, Linux (kernel 2.2.13 or higher) and Windows (95, 98, NT, 2000, ME, XP).

Last Order Date: December 03, 2004 Last Ship Date: March 04, 2005 End of Service Life Date: February 28, 2010

Three broad audiences are targeted for this announcement:

• StarOffice 6.0 and StarSuite 6.0 customers, specifically in an OEM channel
• Sun OEM Partners that bundle/pre-install StarOffice/StarSuite 6.0
• Sun personnel whose products bundle or pre-install StarOffice/StarSuite 6.0

Compatible Third-party Applications

Support:

Standard Sun Support EOL policy applies. Product is supported for five years after Last Ship Date on contract. During the first three years of support, customers are entitled to new patches. In the following two years, customers are entitled to phone support and access to existing patches.
