In case of non-mission critical deployments, you can perform a Sun Lustre Storage System software installation, and let Sun Support Services validate the installation against the Enterprise Installation Services standards. Based on this validation, you can purchase a support contract for Sun Lustre Storage System software from Sun. Key components of the service include: Installation Configuration Check, Installation Verification, and full documentation including the Statement of Conformance.

Statement of Installation	Verify completion of pre-installation tasks.

Installation and Customization of Sun Hardware and Software	Install and configure hardware and software according to documented processes and procedures. Specific activities include: Review packing list to ensure all components are present Engineers use the Sun global installation methodology to help ensure systems are installed and configured in a consistent, high-quality manner

Installation Verification	Confirm system functionality.

System Turnover	Installation review and customer sign off. Provide system reference documentation, if applicable.

Custom On-site Integration - If you need to move existing hardware into the Sun MD, we can assist with both relocation and on-site installation and integration.

Standard InstallationThe Sun MD Installation Service is included in the price of the product. If you choose to move the datacenter after the initial installation, Sun can help with site preparation, relocation, and re-installation.
