Sun Intelligent Power Monitoring Service

The Sun Intelligent Power Monitoring (IPM) Service makes it possible to improve power efficiencies in your data center by monitoring, reporting and forecasting the energy consumption of heterogeneous server and storage systems. With this information, organizations can better manage data center power bills and resources, effectively plan for capacity expansion, and meet emerging regulatory requirements for energy reporting.

This subscription-based network service will be available worldwide. It provides direct visibility into system power consumption, temperature and CPU load utilization via a Web interface. An online download of the client-side software enables activation of the network service and automatically delivers service updates. In addition to application maintenance and updates, the service includes online customer support, such as an online User Guide for general information, email support for specific queries, and online community support forum to share ideas, solutions and submit recommendations for service updates.
