SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and 10 are offered on a subscription basis. Our flexible offerings give you the choice to decide which level of Service meets your needs. You can purchase SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and 10 either Basic, Standard or Premium support in these subscription-based offerings.

Sun Software Service Plan Level
Features
Provides coverage around the clock, 7 days a week. It combines the fastest response times with additional features such as one-stop interoperability assistance for your mission-critical Sun software.
Offers extended local business hours coverage for 12 hours a day, five days a week. Choose this offering if you need technical support during normal business hours.
For some software, you may not need access to Sun engineers via technical support. The Basic Service Plan provides only the fundamental components necessary to help you identify the cause of a problem and evaluate the right resolution strategy.
 

Linux Maintenance Programs
The SUSE Linux Portal offer users a place to get the latest information, tips, enhancements, and bug fixes for their products. Sun refers its support customers directly to the SUSE Linux Portal.

Linux Support on Non-Sun Hardware
All SUSE Linux software purchased from Sun will be supported on Non-Sun HW as long as the hardware is listed on the vendor's Hardware Compatibility List (HCL). If the third party hardware is not on the vendors HCL, Sun will not provide support. You can check the HCL by visiting the SUSE certified hardware site or the Red Hat hardware site.
