Sun has been designing and implementing complex, mission and business critical storage environments for over 34 years. We start by reviewing business continuity and disaster recovery procedures, including the people, processes, systems, network, data, and facilities that are critical for business continuation. Following a thorough analysis, we can design a detailed solution and process plan to recover operations in the event of an interruption.

Service Description

This service includes the following offerings:

Business Impact Analysis Service:
The development of a business case for business continuity solutions requires information from all business units in your organization. Through Sun's Business Impact Analysis Service, our experts help you gather this information and identify the associated operational and financial impacts of disruptions for an enterprise, system, business unit, or application. We then assist you in developing RTOs and RPOs for each business service or function and assess the risks to hardware, applications, and data. This allows you to better prioritize applications, data, functions, and processes by criticality and establish a recovery hierarchy. Findings are analyzed and documented in a comprehensive business impact analysis report that includes recommendations for improvement and suggested solutions.

Business continuity planning:
This service can consist of design, development, implementation, maintenance and refresh of continuity plans. We document a set of predetermined, action-oriented procedures that define required resources, courses of action, essential tasks, critical data and recovery priorities. The plan accounts for communication links, alternative facilities and the safety of employees.

Disaster Recovery Plan Audit:
Focuses on rebuilding the environment and restoring systems after a catastrophic event. We develop disaster recovery procedures for clients’ platforms within their production facilities and provide documentation to recover critical hardware at an alternate location. Additional procedures can be developed to recover hardware within the current environment.

Test configuration planning:
Maximize and efficiently test a disaster recovery plan at an alternate recovery site. Includes test objectives, creation of and management of test plans, participation in the recovery test and post test analysis.
