The following table lists all of the components of the Solaris 10 10/09 expanded media kit, and identifies how each component is supported. All Sun software is covered by the Sun Microsystems, Inc. standard software warranty support. Terms can be found at global warranty terms and conditions. To purchase the expanded media kit for Solaris 10, please visit the media site. The Solaris 10 10/09 software is available for download and updates for this OS is included with your Solaris Subscription support contract, as part of your entitlement. The expanded media kit with the additional software components are for an additional fee and is not included with your support contract.

Service Plan Coverage & Exceptions

Support for the Solaris 10 OS is covered under a SunSpectrum Service Plan or Solaris Subscription – Basic, Standard or Premium Service Plan.

Sun Java Desktop System, Release 3 and Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5 are integrated and supported under a Solaris Subscription with the following component exceptions as noted below under "Support Exceptions".

DVD – Solaris 10 OS 10/09 (SPARC) DVD – Solaris 10 OS 10/09 (x64/x86) Support Exceptions: The following software has been included on the Solaris 10 OS 10/09 DVD but are not covered by a Solaris Subscription or SunSpectrum Service Plan. Please follow the links below to purchase licenses and support for these products. The following software is included on the Solaris 10 OS 10/09 DVD but are not fully covered by a Solaris Subscription or SunSpectrum Service Plan. These products are provided by a third party vendor and falls under "Managed Support": Bugs can be logged in the community or with the third party vendor on behalf of the customer and, if appropriate, temporary relief can be delivered in the form of a workaround. *Sun does not commit to providing any patches for this software. The community or third party vendor sustains the product and provides the formal fix.

CD – Software Companion 10/09 The Software Companion 10/09 DVD has been included with the Solaris 10 10/09 expanded media kit and contains a collection of popular freeware in separate and distinct modules for the convenience of our customers. Support for this freeware is not covered by your Solaris or SunSpectrum Service Plan. Community based support may be available, as an alternative, for components you are interested in using. Please refer to the Solaris Operating System Freeware page for a list of the components available on this DVD.
