SANTA CLARA, Calif. - August 4, 2003 -- Sun Microsystems, Inc. has opened registration for its 2nd annual SunNetwork Conference, which will be held September 16-18, at Moscone Center in San Francisco. "SunNetwork 2003 builds on the success of our inaugural conference and continues the tradition of sending attendees home with lots of best practices for taking cost and complexity out of their IT environments," said Mark Tolliver, chief strategy and marketing officer, Sun Microsystems, Inc. "SunNetwork Conferences will continue to bring Sun, our customers and partners together to exchange ideas on ways technology can play an increasing role in the success of an organization."

SunNetwork 2003 will provide information and insights into Sun products and innovations designed to reduce the cost and complexity of network computing and unleash mobility with security. The SunNetwork 2003 Conference and Pavilion will include:

Additionally, The SunNetwork University program on Monday, September 15, open only to attendees of SunNetwork 2003 Conference, offers intensive lectures to help to prepare for Sun technology certification exams, and to teach how to architect Web services using the Java 2 platform, Enterprise Edition(J2EE).

"This year we'll also be unveiling one of the most important shifts in software our industry has seen, and dozens of new features for the Network Computer," added Tolliver.

The SunNetwork 2003 Conference, which is held in San Francisco and major geographies throughout the year, brings together a worldwide community of IT professionals, system administrators and developers in a dynamic exchange of information and ideas about technology advances and the future of Network Computing.
