Sun Awards Storage Partner of the Year to BakBone Software

LAS VEGAS SUN FORUM 2006, October 11, 2006 Sun Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUNW) today announced it has named BakBone Software, Inc.(BKBO.PK) its Storage Partner of the Year. The award recognizes the Sun technology partner who has demonstrated excellence in its relationship with Sun in a number of areas, including responsiveness to new business opportunities, support for Sun's full product portfolio, including the Solaris Operating System (OS), and investment in technical, sales and marketing resources to support joint technology development and revenue generation.
