⁶ HP StorageWorks EVA3000/5000 arrays can now be upgraded to support Active-Active configurations by upgrading from HP StorageWorks VCS (Virtual Controller Software) v3.x firmware to VCS v4.x firmware, which also includes support for Sun HBAs and MPxIO failover software. In addition, HP StorageWorks EVA3000/5000 arrays can also be upgraded to HP StorageWorks EVA4000/6000/8000 arrays, which also support Sun HBAs and MPxIO failover software, but this requires new controller hardware, new controller firmware and possibly some other components. Please contact your local HP service representative for upgrade details.
