Solaris Cluster Open Storage Program

Program benefits for vendors

All storage vendors -- selling storage arrays for mission critical high availability (HA) deployment on Sun Servers -- are eligible to participate in the program. The program registration information is available at sun.com/solarisready. Third party storage vendors who register and successfully meet the program criteria, will have the option of either testing in their own facility or at a Sun Microsystems designated independent test facility, which leverages the Sun Cluster Automated Test Environment (SCATE) and the associated certification processes. These certified and tested configurations will be cooperatively supported by Sun and the associated storage vendor. The joint configurations will be published on sun.com/cluster/osp. These configurations will be cooperatively supported by Sun and the associated vendor via TSANet, and industry standard consortium facilitation call transfers.

Vendors certified under the Solaris Cluster Open Storage Program can leverage the rapid momentum of Sun Software and Sun Java Enterprise System.

Sun and the third party storage vendor offer joint customers the followings:

• Investment protection and choice of tested storage arrays with Sun Microsystems quality for mission-critical deployments.
• Joint interoperability matrix providing pre sales consistency to architect the mission-critical service.
• Confidence in post sales cooperative support enabled through TSANet.
