Smart Connectors:
Implement a service-oriented architecture to granularly access
legacy data and business logic and encapsulate it in a reusable
format.
Non-invasively expose legacy data and business logic for use in
new applications - no host code changes required.
A graphical, drag-and-drop tool securely encapsulates legacy
transactions as reusable objects in the format that is native to
the Sun Java System Application Server.
Management and Control Services provide centralized management
of callable services so that developers can share them, and
administrators can remotely manage connector security and monitor
activity.
Extend the capabilities of rehosted CICS applications on Sun
servers to integrate legacy transactions with new
applications.
Support industry-standard load balancing and cluster methods
common to middle-tier implementations. Smart Connectors are
portable so they can run on larger, high-end systems, including the
mainframe to leverage its security, reliability, and
scalability.
