System Requirements

Sun Download Manager 2.0 (SDM) is a 100% Java application that requires the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), version 1.4.2 or higher, on your system. (If unsure, you can check your Java version.)

For optimal performance and functionality, we recommend uninstalling older Java versions and running the latest version only. (Download the latest Java Runtime Environment.)

  SDM should run on any modern operating system with the required JRE correctly installed. SDM has been tested successfully on many systems, including:
  • Solaris Operating System for SPARC or x86
    • Solaris 8 or higher recommended
  • Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP
  • Linux
  • Mac OS X

  SDM has been tested successfully on most common browsers, including:
