OpenGL API for Solaris Operating System

Documentation

Title
Description
A list of OpenGL extensions supported in Sun OpenGL for the Solaris Operating System.
OpenGL is an emerging graphics standard that provides advanced rendering features while maintaining a simple programming model. Because OpenGL is rendering-only, it can be incorporated into any window system (and has been, into the X Window System and a soon-to-be-released version of Windows) or can be used without a window system. An OpenGL implementation can efficiently accommodate almost any level of graphics hardware, from a basic framebuffer to the most sophisticated graphics subsystems. It is therefore a good choice for use in interactive 3D and 2D graphics applications.
The Sun OpenGL 1.3 for Solaris OS Implementation and Performance Guide provides information on Sun's implementation of the OpenGL graphics library for the Solaris Operating Environment from Sun Microsystems, Inc. This book is intended for application developers who are using Sun's OpenGL for Solaris software to port or develop OpenGL applications on Solaris OE. It assumes familiarity with OpenGL functionality and with the principles of 2D and 3D computer graphics. This release of Sun OpenGL for Solaris OE contains all of the functionality included in the previous release of OpenGL (version 1.2.3, shipped on 03/2002).
The Sun OpenGL 1.2.3 for Solaris OS Implementation and Performance Guide provides information on Sun's implementation of the OpenGL graphics library for the Solaris Operating Environment from Sun Microsystems, Inc. This book is intended for application developers who are using Sun's OpenGL for Solaris software to port or develop OpenGL applications on Solaris OE. It assumes familiarity with OpenGL functionality and with the principles of 2D and 3D computer graphics.
