Download the appropriate version of Sun OpenGL software by
selecting the appropriate Sun OpenGL software link listed
above.
Unpack and install the downloaded OpenGL shell-archive (.shar)
file by typing:
% sh
<downloaded_filename>.shar
If you are not login as root, you will be prompted
to enter the root password (OpenGL installation
requires root access to install the software). The installation script will then proceed to remove old OpenGL software packages and install the new OpenGL software.
Restart the window system (i.e. exit the window system and re-login). This will ensure the X server to load the OpenGL GLX module that was just installed.
