Desktop
A modern desktop environment, based on GNOME,
that provides a colorful and intuitive user interface that enables
users to easily locate documents, access menus, launch
applications, and personalize their work environment. It comes with
an extensive set of tools and utilities. The desktop will have a
new unified, yet distinctive, Sun branded Look and Feel.
StarOffice 7 software
A feature-rich, full-function office
productivity suite, StarOffice, featuring advanced applications for
word processing, developing spreadsheets, making presentations,
creating graphics, editing photos, publishing to the Web, and
managing data from relational databases.
A personal information management and
collaboration client, Evolution, that combines e-mail,
calendaring,meeting scheduling, contact management, and task lists
in one powerful, fast, and easy-to-use application. Workgroup
information can also be synchronized and managed using the
connector to the Sun ONE Calendar and Messaging Servers.
Mozilla
A powerful browser, Mozilla, that seamlessly
integrates a wide variety of features for surfing the Web,
communicating with colleagues, participating in discussion groups,
and creating dynamic Web pages.

Java Desktop System is loaded with additional
applications designed to enhance desktop usability and
productivity. A few examples include Text Editor, Calculator, CD
Player, Media Player , Image Viewer and More.
