| Want to use Java for Business support and binaries internally for your own applications or third-party products, but do not need to redistribute Java for Business to your customers or other individuals outside your company. |
You can purchase Java for Business internal use licenses (entitlements) as annual subscriptions in two forms: company-wide, or department only. Company-wide licensing is used when the majority of a company uses or interacts with Java software receiving support. Departmental licensing is used in cases where large quantities of the company do not interact with the Java-based software being supported, and only one or a few departments actually interact with Java. Both annual subscriptions include a license for use of all release families and services for the duration of the customer contract, per terms of the purchased entitlement, and Sun service list. |

| Want to use AND distribute Java for Business binaries for use with your Java applications. |
As above, you can either purchase a site-wide or departmental subscription which is used for desktop applications. If you are embedded Java into a device or solution which includes hardware, there are additional royalties that apply. Call Sun to discuss a value-based pricing model that helps align royalty costs with your product pricing, or read more about Sun's embedded line of products. |
