The UltraLinux project to make Linux available on the UltraSPARC architecture was the work of an independent group of software engineers led by Dave Miller in California, Eddie Dost in Belgium, Jakub Jelinek in Czech Republic, and Miguel de Icaza in Mexico. Sun assisted the team by providing them with Sun workstations as well as technical information to facilitate their work. The UltraLinux Project Home Page, the main information source for UltraLinux, is maintained by the project members.
Note:Sun Microsystems does not provide support for the UltraLinux (Linux on UltraSPARC) operating system, either directly through Sun's Enterprise Services division, or by any indirect means. UltraLinux users who wish to receive commercial support for their UltraLinux systems should contact the sites listed above or investigate third-party organizations that may help them. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
