What is Indemnification?

Sun provides StarOffice customers with indemnification against Intellectual Property lawsuits.

This protection is provided to any user who purchases StarOffice Right to Use (RTU) license via download, through a retailer/etailer, or embedded or bundled with non-Sun hardware.

As part of this indemnification, Sun will defend the customer during legal proceedings and will indemnify the customer against all damages and costs. Sun does not provide indemnification for users of OpenOffice.org.
