PC Launcher

PC Launcher 1.0 provides SunPCi coprocessor card users with seamless access and power to view, edit, and print many popular types of PC files or attachments instantly, by automatically launching the associated Microsoft Windows application and file.

Allows users to copy and paste text from Microsoft Windows applications into any Solaris application
Automatically identifies PC file type attachments and launches PC Launcher, the Microsoft Windows application, and the PC file
Includes built-in icon identification support for applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus, Word Perfect, AMI/Professional, QuattroPro, Corel, Freelance, BMP, DXF, GEM, and PIC graphic files
Supports Microsoft Windows shortcuts from the Solaris desktop; users can keep all their relevant PC applications on the Solaris CDE front panel and CDE workspace
Enables users to define additional file types for other Windows applications using standard CDE tools

Hardware: SunPCi card
Software: Solaris 7 Operating Environment 5/99 (supplement CD)
IP Address: Both the SunPCi card and its host workstation must be assigned an IP address to use PC launcher
Memory: 32 MB minimum
