Products integrated with Sun Java System Access Manager:

  • DataPower XS40 XML Security Gateway

DataPower XS40 XML Security Gateway 3.0 is a 1U rack-mountable network device purpose built to secure XML Web Services transactions. It combines hardened security, wirespeed performance and sophisticated, patent-pending algorithms for XML threat protection and access management, including XML firewall, XDoS protection, SOAP filtering, access control, XML schema validation, digital signatures, field-level XML encryption, XML/SOAP routing and service virtualization. XS40 provides comprehensive standards support (such as WS-Security 1.0, SAML, XACML, XPath, XKMS, WSDM, SSL, LDAP, and RADIUS), and integration with existing security, management and application infrastructure such as Sun Access Manager.

All XML Web services security functions, such as XML schema validation, XML Encryption, XML Signature, WS-Security and others, require extensive XML processing. These are compute intensive activities. In the integration with Sun Java System Access Manager, the XML processing task of signing XML documents is offloaded to the DataPower XS40 box, thereby improving performance significantly.
