OC Systems
RootCause can obtain virtually any information you need about
the internal functioning of your application. RootCause lets you
track down memory leaks, performance bottlenecks, and other complex
problems in the post-development environment. Trace an
application's execution, log data, monitor memory usage, capture
timing. The data you collect allows you to provide developers or a
vendor's technical staff with specific, source-level detail about
where a problem occurred, making it easier for them to find and fix
the problem.
RootCause instruments the application at runtime, while it is in
memory. No changes are made to any application files; neither are
any changes made to the JVM. No access to source is needed, so
RootCause works on third-party software as well as code developed
in-house. RootCause also crosses JNI boundaries to work on C/C++
code in addition to Java.
