Integration with Java System Application Server (formerly Sun
ONE Application Server)
Seagull Software's LegaSuite[tm] Host Integration Accelerator for
Java System Application Server is a fully compliant JCA resource
adapter to connect new J2EE technology with enterprise legacy
systems running on mainframe and midrange systems providing a fast
path for robust integration of legacy functionality with open
architectures. As a JCA resource adapter, LegaSuite simplifies and
accelerates host integration, exposing legacy business functions as
a common API and set of services within a J2EE environment.
Industry-standard LegaSuite interfaces are called from within Java
System Application Server, making heterogeneous business functions
available to Java developers as a familiar J2EE component with
complete transparency to the legacy systems.
As an alternative to the use of JCA resource adapters. Java System
Application Server can serve a new J2EE application using SOAP, XML
or Java Bean interfaces to integrate with legacy systems using the
LegaSuite Connectors. The following communication protocols are
supported: HTTP(S), Sockets, RMI, JMS, MQSeries.
