Point appcert at binaries or directories
containing binaries you want to check. (it takes about 2-10 seconds
to check each binary object).
You will need to have perl installed on your
system (the appcert package contains perl binaries for your
convenience, also note that perl is included in Solaris 8 and
later); see the FAQ for more
information.
The latest version of appcert is 2.5, released 4/30/04. Please
read the Release
Notes for the new features.
Here's what you'll need to do:
- Download the file containing
appcert by
selecting:
appcert_install.sparc.sh for SPARC
or
appcert_install.i386.sh for X86
from the
Download Center.
- Next, install
appcert by typing the
command:
sh
appcert_install.sparc.sh
or
sh
appcert_install.i386.sh
(This unpacks and installs the tool and documentation under your
control and explains how to run it)
- Read the documentation and man page in the
doc and
man subdirectories to learn how to proceed to run
appcert on your application.
