The Solaris Compatibility Assurance Toolkit (SolCAT) is a family
of tools for testing application compatibility on Solaris. SolCAT
consists of Solaris Appcert
and Solaris Application Scanner:
Solaris Appcert statically examines an application's
conformance to the Solaris Application Binary Interface (ABI), and
reports potential release-to-release binary stability problems.
This is an unbundled/web-release version of Appcert and has been
updated to address Solaris 10 issues. Starting with Solaris 8,
appcert is available as an optional package to install and after
that it is bundled with Solaris.
Solaris Application Scanner is a fast scanning tool for
ELF binaries, primarily intended to check for near-certain failures
caused by interfaces or libraries going away in a Solaris
release.
