No, the Trusted Solaris Operating Environment is not just for the government. In fact, Sun envisions a greater market for this product evolving in the commercial space rather than in the government realm. The explosion of the Internet has created much more awareness for security, and that awareness is transforming into need. Most of Sun's customers are looking for improved security, and see the Trusted Solaris Operating Environment as the foundation for a more secure environment.

Are there any export restrictions on Trusted Solaris 8 software?
A:
There are no specific export restrictions to selling the Trusted Solaris 8 Operating Environment other than the normal restrictions that apply regarding selling to embargoed countries and parties listed on the U.S. Government's Denied and Restricted Parties List.The following countries may not receive ANY U.S.-developed software items: Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Serbia/Montenegro (Yugoslavia), Sudan, and Syria. Additionally, it is Sun's policy to not ship products to Burma.
