Question

Why does more than one selection confirmer display for the same cut and paste? In Trusted Solaris 2.5, a selection confirmer would appear multiple times for the same cut and paste. Even though I was told this was fixed for the next release, I still see the same behavior in Trusted Solaris 2.5.1. Was the problem really fixed? Or is my application causing the problem?

Answer

The problem is fixed in Trusted Solaris 2.5.1. You may still see multiple selection confirmers because when some applications do cut and paste, they request multiple targets to be converted. Trusted Solaris policy is that each different request requires a confirmation. For example, one customer's SoftWindows95 application that exhibits this behavior is actually requesting two targets to be converted, TEXT and STRING.
