Trusted Solaris Operating System - Technical FAQs

Question

I assigned a user account a non-standard shell using the "General" tab in the User tool of the Solaris Management Console (Trusted Solaris 8 environment) or the "other" option in the identity sub-menu of the usermgr (previous versions.)

Answer

The shell script /usr/dt/bin/Xtsolusersession would need to be modified to support the other shell. There is a switch at the end of the script which has a case for each shell.

Applies to Trusted Solaris Release:

1.2, 2.5, 2.5.1, 7, 8
