How to Use

Continue to use the platform you prefer. The server is available for the Solaris OS, Linux, and Windows platforms.

There are two types of interfaces available for accessing the StarOffice 8 Server:

The first is a web-based front end that makes it easy to integrate into a portal web page and enables all users to create PDF documents without additional costs.
The second interface uses a Java EE web service. A Java EE web service client sends the document to the StarOffice 8 Server and receives the converted Acrobat PDF document immediately.

Valid usage scenarios include converting all outgoing email document attachments into the Acrobat PDF file format or converting automatically generated documents into the Acrobat PDF format. The StarOffice 8 Server has the scalability and robustness to cover these scenarios.
